There is a new way to make a charitable donation to your favorite California Tech Trek camp as well as projects and branch scholarships managed by the California Special Project Fund (SPF).

Go to the California Special Project Fund (SPF) donate page, select “AAUW CA Projects (Tech Trek)”, enter your donation amount, select either of the UCSB camps, and finally click PayPal or Debit/Credit Card. It is very important to add in the PayPal Note area: “please give credit to AAUW Thousand Oaks.” The payment process is via PayPal, but you do not have to create or have a PayPal account to use. Inspire girls to enter technical careers
Since 1998 AAUW Tech Trek camps have been designed to help girls continue their interests in science, math, engineering & technology (STEM) exploration and learning, through the tricky years when new distractions enter their lives. Studies have shown that girls’ interests can be sustained if they are exposed to the careers available to women in science today. Also, a week’s stay on an exciting college campus helps girls picture themselves on such a campus and visualize college in their future. This is especially important for girls whose family members have not gone to college or university.
